Musings 2005/192

Such a person has Christ's own guarantee that he will win his throne in Heaven, for He states (and I gladly repeat it here) P 18  And I say to thee:

That thou art Peter;
and upon this rock
I will build my church,
and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19. And

I will give to thee
the keys of the kingdom of heaven.

And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven. P(Matthew 16)
No wonder it is so truly said:-

Where the Pope, there is The Church.

Therefore, in clinging to this rock we will also obtain the keys of the kingdom of heaven, for we are joined with this rock, this Peter.
And how do we move the world?
We move the world

through Truth.

P  5  Thomas saith to him: Lord, we know not whither thou goest. And how can we know the way?

6. Jesus saith to him:
I am the way,

and the truth,

and the life.

No man cometh to the Father,
but by me.
7  If you had known me, you would without doubt have known my Father also: and from henceforth you shall know him. And you have seen him.
8  Philip saith to him: Lord, shew us the Father; and it is enough for us.
9. Jesus saith to him: Have I been so long a time with you and have you not known me? Philip,

he that seeth me
seeth the Father also.

How sayest thou: Shew us the Father?
10  Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. But the Father who abideth in me, he doth the works.
It is fairly clear that Jesus became a creature like us first of all to sacrifice Himself for the salvation of the entire universe,

but in doing so,
and as part of that salvation,
to bring us The Truth
for He is The Truth.

What was crucified on Golgotha was The Truth.

It was Truth-personified
that was nailed
to the Cross of Salvation.

What of Goodness - what of Love?
Jesus spoke of Love and made it precise and clear that Love is the characteristic of His disciples.
P  34  A new commandment I give unto you: That you love one another, as I have loved you,

that you also love one another.

35  By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another.  P
Jesus said that he is The Truth but never did He say that He is Love because The Spirit is Love and The Spirit was to come after Jesus. Indeed Jesus would send the Spirit of Love.
Nor did Jesus say that He is Goodness and in fact taught us that
only God is Good, which is to say that The Eternal-father is Goodness-personified.
Jesus issues from Eternal-goodness in Eternity and as well, He issues from the perfect reflection of Eternal-goodness, in creation,

The Immaculate Conception.

We can perceive here

that Jesus issues forth from Goodness;
(associated with The Immaculate Conception)
that His Own Ministry is Truth
(associated with The Universal Church)
and from His Ministry
comes Love.

As Jesus Christ is The Salvation of all creation and as He is The One for Whom all creation is brought forth and is given to Him; and for which He has paid the outrageous ransom of His Passion and Death - we are forced to concede, because He is Truth-personified, that Truth is the way through which the Catholic might move the world and lead it into the Era of Love.
P 10. No, this is the covenant I will grant the people of Israel, the Lord says, when the time comes.

I will implant my law
in their innermost thoughts,
engrave it in their hearts;

I will be their God and they shall be my people. 11. There will be no need for neighbour to teach neighbour, or brother to teach brother, the knowledge of the Lord;

all will know me
from the highest to the lowest. P (Hebrews 8)
