The more I thought about this the more I developed an attraction for it, for the following reasons.P O HOLY FATHER,
When I say recognise, I am not only expressing an act of faith, but I am appealing to the Virtue of The Eternal-father Who is Pure-eternal-existence.
To recognise something you are perceiving its existence.
When I say acknowledge, I am appealing to the Virtue of The Son, The Word of God, Who is Eternal-truth.
To acknowledge something, you are admitting the truth of it.
When I say appreciate, I am expressing The Virtue of The Eternal-spirit Who is Eternal-love.
To appreciate something, you are truly expressing (in this instance) your hope and intention to share in, and to share, Eternal-love.
It seems to me very difficult to undermine this combination of words - recognise, acknowledge and appreciate - or to add them to the list of meaningless words.
Easy to corrupt one word but extremely difficult, even impossible, to corrupt a combination of words.
I have found also that, in using this word combination, replacing the word love, it expands the soul's capacity in understanding God and God's Work - in better grasping Christ's Work of Salvation in His capacity as a creature.
In the original prayers that may be found on our web site at http://www.heartsare.com/page17.html the words recognise, acknowledge and appreciate are used often, and I have found that the meaning sought from the prayers, are thus made much more significant. For example in the prayer Prayer of The Signs of The Cross, it begins by addressing The Eternal-father and The Trinity:-
THROUGH YOUR SON, JESUS CHRIST,
BY THE HOLY SPIRIT,
ONE GOD, FOREVER: P
(and it concludes as follows)
P WHO DESIRES AND WHO DEMANDS,
FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, FOR OUR SAKE,
THAT WHICH YOU HAVE ALREADY
GIVEN TO US:
RECOGNITION, ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND APPRECIATION. P
While it is true to say that God first loved us - indeed He loved us before we were even created - yet to say that He first recognised, acknowledged and appreciated us, gives a whole new concept and a engenders a far greater meaning to the intimate, powerful and marvellous relationship between God and His children. 50 8 44 You are of your father the devil,
The Cross of Christ points to the incredible truth that God does indeed, recognise, acknowledge and appreciate us - even beyond our comprehension.
Pondering on God and us in this light, we can only marvel at our Creator and His intentions for us! We can not fail to clearly perceive that we should recognise, acknowledge and appreciate The Eternal-trinity, in return.
The concept is quite enthralling.
Truth Is Humility
Unfortunately I can't remember who said The more you thing you know, the more you realise you don't know, but he was talking about Truth.
Whoever has Truth has humility.
If someone says he has Truth but does not have humility, then he has BIG problems, for the devil realises the fact of God existence but he does not have humility.
It is eternally unfortunate that the devil is also the master of deception, for he is a liar, and the father thereof (John 8:44) and would have himself proclaimed as god.
The realisation of God's Existence is intolerable to the devil who can not accept that he, himself, is a mere creature - something created from nothing by The Almighty, to Whom he owes EVERYTHING.
And even worse, the great dignity given him at the beginning - even that - was lost to him. Even though The Almighty gave him the greatest dignity from the beginning, making him supreme leader of the spiritual sphere, next to God Himself - a leadership which he abused; and in his mutiny taking many of the angelic legions with him.
Yet, because of the incomparable gift of existence, he still clings onto what's left for him!
This is of course the ultimate form of insanity, for The Truth that he might have had has become a nightmare of falsehood.
P 50 8 38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and you do the things that you have seen with your father.
50 8 39 They answered, and said to him: Abraham is our father. Jesus saith to them: If you be the children of Abraham, do the works of Abraham.
50 8 40 But now you seek to kill me, a man who have spoken the truth to you, which I have heard of God. Abraham did not do what you do.
50 8 41 You do the works of your father. They said therefore to him: We are not born of fornication: we have one Father, even God.
50 8 42 Jesus therefore said to them: If God were your Father, you would indeed love me. For from God I proceeded, and came; for I came not of myself, but he sent me:
50 8 43 Why do you not know my speech? Because you cannot hear my word.
and the desires of your father you will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning,
and he stood not in the truth;
because truth is not in him.
When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.
50 8 45 But if I say the truth, you believe me not. P (John)
We can perceive from Christ's words that although a person might have certain facts, even realising the existence of God, he does not necessarily have the Truth in him.
