The Church teaches that The Son of God, The second Person of The Trinity, took to Himself a body and soul and became man - the Son of The Virgin. Not because Jesus is fully a human being,
The Church declares as doctrine, that Jesus is fully a human being.
This is the most incredible Truth - it is mind-blowing.
but because we are also fully human beings.
That is to say, the stupendous astonishment, is not that Jesus is a human being, but that we human being are therefore
That Truth is just so fabulous.my person therefore must be identical
For example, being like Jesus, I have a person that possesses a body and a soul!
I am made up of three parts so to speak - person, body and soul - just like Jesus.
Now the incredible part is this:-
in make-up as is Jesus'.
And herein lies the awesome possibility that we are enabled to share The Divinity.for The Eternal-father has always known me!!!
Jesus' Person issued directly from The Eternal-father.
Therefore my person also issues directly from The Eternal-father.
Yes, The Person of Christ issues from The Father in Eternity and that Person reflects The Father, totally, while my person issues in creation - the difference between Creator and creature.
My person reflects the being that I am; the body and soul that I have - a sinful creature.
Yet, my person issues directly from The Eternal-father! My person is The Father's-knowing-me.
In that way then, my person is like Jesus',
Even before I became a human being!
In a way then, the person that I am has always existed, for The Father has always known me!
Just like Jesus Christ.
Herein lies the potential, the possibility for me, to share The Godhead, as a pure Gift from God and only in becoming One in The Mystical Body of Jesus Christ - The Universal Church.
In the person of the human being - the person that possesses a body and soul - we imitate The Son of God, but the fantastic Truth is, as mentioned, that this Son of God took to Himself a body and soul, as though in imitation of us; fulfilling Scripture.
And so God meant exactly this P 1 1 26 And he said: Let us make man to our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moveth upon the earth.
1 1 27 And God created man to his own image: to the image of God he created him: male and female he created them. P Genesis.
And all this, fantastic as it is, all seems common sense. It fits in with what The Church teaches; with Scripture.
The Dignity of Man
The astonishingly high dignity of man's being is thus highlighted. We are called to the ultimate Dignity of sharing The Godhead.
But one can understand, in a way, that Scripture depicts God as being angry and even that He regrets creating mankind, so rebellious are we!
I created you, God seems to say, so that I might bring you into My very Bosom, sharing Everything that I Am and have. I show you how to achieve this Perfect-goal. But you throw my offer back at me in defiance!
Instead of the Love I offer, you choose hatred. Instead of the Truth I offer, you choose deception. Instead of the Goodness I offer, you choose evil!
P 47 21 35 And the husbandmen laying hands on his servants, beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. 47 21 36 Again he sent other servants more than the former; and they did to them in like manner. 47 21 37 And last of all he sent to them his son, saying: They will reverence my son. 47 21 38 But the husbandmen seeing the son, said among themselves: This is the heir: come, let us kill him, and we shall have his inheritance.
47 21 39 And taking him, they cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him.
47 21 40 When therefore the lord of the vineyard shall come, what will he do to those husbandmen?
47 21 41 They say to him: He will bring those evil men to an evil end; and will let out his vineyard to other husbandmen, that shall render him the fruit in due season.
47 21 42 Jesus saith to them: Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? By the Lord this has been done; and it is wonderful in our eyes.
47 21 43 Therefore I say to you, that the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and shall be given to a nation yielding the fruits thereof.
47 21 44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone, shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it shall grind him to powder.
47 21 45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they knew that he spoke of them. PMatthew
We have been offered the Kingdom of God!
Looking upon the world's atrocities, from abortion to every type of debauchery and defilement, to wars, we perceive that the world rejects God's fabulous offer!
