We observe in this part of the prayer that we attempt to gather ALL sufferings of mankind (that is, including those sufferings under which God's Graces were rejected); indeed, all prayers of mankind, of every variety, beseeching The Eternal-father for His Will upon the earth particularly His Will to deliver us from evil (but not excluding our own hopes and desires).
In this section of the PSC we may observe also, the numerous forms of prayer available to mankind.
The Beauty of Mary
I have seen numerous pictures depicting The Mother of Jesus Christ, but have always through them totally inadequate in displaying Mary's supreme beauty.
On first sight of Our Lady of Guadalupe I thought that that also was inadequate, but on close inspection, I have to think that this portrayal of Mary must be the best available. The closer I look the more beautiful the portrayal becomes.
Mary Loves the Jewish People
I don't suppose the Jews will be thrilled about this, that Mary loves them with predilection, but the time will come when this will change.
As I have previously claimed, God's great ambition for the Jewish people was to bring forth the maiden out of whom would come the Messiah.
The maiden was to be Israel's fabulous contribution for the Salvation of creation, without whom this Salvation could not be achieved.
Anna Catherina Emmerich explains her visions to us regarding the virgin, the Mother of the Messiah.
We get a glimpse of the history of the Jews down the centuries until Mary's Immaculate Conception which was the impulse for The Eternal-spirit to overshadow this Virgin and bring forth the Saviour.
