crieth to me The injustice itself
from the earth. P Genesis
The Lord made it clear that the injustice done to Abel reached up into Eternity and pleaded for God's intervention.
was a prayer,
The soul of Abel, in Limbo, might have sought The Lord's intervention, but The Lord noted that it was 'the blood', that is, the crime itself, that made appeal to Him.The marvels
As I have previously claimed, prayer is not only a verbal or mental communication from creature to Creator.
Suffering of every type of person by itself--every type of suffering--is a prayer.
Whether suffering by the greatest of sinners or by the ordinary person.
P 66 5 4 Behold the hire of the labourers, who have reaped down your fields, which by fraud has been kept back by you, crieth: and the cry of them hath entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. P Philemon
The Lord perceives in His great Mercy the suffering of each person and of the world, especially the poor and the lowly.
P 26 35 18 Do not the widow's tears run down the cheek, and her cry against him that causeth them to fall?
26 35 19 For from the cheek they go up even to heaven . PEcclesiasticus
Defeat of evil
And this is why the devil can never win, for even as he causes people to sin, he also brings suffering which is conveyed up to Heaven and brings down the Mercy and the Justice of god.
Man sins. Man suffers. Man receives Mercy. Man repents and gains Eternal-life.
That is the rhythm of existence for the human being.
Even when the devil does drag a soul into eternal damnation, there is no true triumph for him for he has merely found for himself another evil companion who shares his hatred and ugliness.
The devil's only satisfaction is in betraying a soul, drawing it away from God's Love and Beauty, and so thinking to defeat The Almighty.
But even this falls back upon him for that is another soul who will hate him in his own kingdom of death.
How Great is The Church
The Catholic Church which alone has survived intact from the time of Christ Himself, can be relied upon to teach Truth and only Truth.
It is only in and through Truth that She survives for She is the Treasury of The Truth.
She is the dispenser of Goodness and Love, given to man through the Sacraments, the Priesthood and the Magisterium of Catholicism.
But it is through Truth that The Church dispenses Goodness and Love.
of the whole universe
are pale things
compared to The Church
for She is the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ.
Like Mary, The Immaculate Conception, The Church is the glory of creation. But Her greatest triumph
How fabulous is The Church, One, Holy, Catholic, Universal, from day one, 2,000 years ago, in spite of every type of attack upon Her, from without and from within.
In spite of the well-publicised failures of some of Her leaders over the centuries, The Barque of Peter has remained steadfast precisely navigating the route set for Her, by Her Captain, The Lord Jesus.
How many martyrs has She produced over the millenniums! What fantastic Saints She has brought forth! What stupendous miracles have occurred within Her over every generation.
has occurred over the past century,
when the whole world
was dragged into murderous warfare
and Her Faithful slaughtered
as never before.
ModernismBut schism is never a good thing.
The twentieth century enemy, modernism, a combination of all the evil machinations brought about over the millenniums since Adam and Eve, attacked Her like a deadly virus, clotting Her blood vessels so that Her inner organs could not function properly; smothering Her Voice so that deception might result in place of The Truth She always proclaims; corrupting Her Dogmas and relaying nonsense instead; tickling the fancy and the novelty of Her Faithful, so that a great many embraced stupidity and theatrical performances in lieu of the Sacred Liturgy; infiltrating Her most sacred Priesthood turning out Priests who were prone to treachery; kidnapping Her educational institutions where modernist betrayal was the norm; and so on and on.
But that's not all. No, the evil includes internal division caused by Catholics of high standing who went too far in their refusal to accommodate modernism and withdrew from The Church, in schism.
Such as the SSPX (but there are others) which at least, gave real-Catholics a temporary escape from the innumerable internal attacks upon their Faith.
It is always an evil thing because as the schism continues, it invariably moves further and further from The Church. The SSPX is typical, for, in disapproving modernist activity in The Church, it finds itself forced to condemn The Church, Herself, and Her leaders. If it condemned only the evil itself
that attacks the Church from within,
then it has no excuse for schism.
