Eternal Happiness




We can not comprehend what Heaven is like, Old Sage.
That's true. But we may get an inkling of what happiness is to be ours, by our suffering.
Are you saying that the greater our suffering here on earth, the greater will be our happiness in Heaven?
This of course is not the only criteria, but it is certainly an important component.
But everyone suffers!
Indeed. Many suffer and their suffering does not lead to remorse but to greater betrayal. Nevertheless those who suffer and join their suffering to Christ's, become martyrs.
It is a hard thing to welcome, that suffering purifies, but all the Saints seemed to love suffering!
That's why Jesus embraced His Cross.
